The Model:Samples is Elektron's sample-based groovebox — six tracks of sample playback with the Elektron sequencer at its core. Each track gets its own multimode filter and LFO, so samples are not just being triggered — they are being shaped. A built-in library of 300 sounds curated by Splice covers the essentials, and you can load your own audio via USB at any point.

The sequencer is the same engine that runs across all Elektron hardware: 64 steps per track with independent lengths, parameter locks, micro timing, and trig conditions. Parameter locks let any knob value be recorded on a per-step basis — filter cutoff, pitch, reverb send — so a six-track pattern holds far more variation than six fixed loops would suggest. Trig conditions add probabilistic and conditional step firing, keeping loops evolving without manual intervention.

Storage sits at 1GB with 64MB of sample RAM — enough for a focused set of sounds per project. The six velocity-sensitive pads can trigger sounds directly or play chromatic scales, giving you a live performance option as well as a studio tool. Delay and reverb are available as send effects across all tracks.
