FabFilter Pro-C 3

FabFilter Pro-C 3 is a professional dynamics processor that builds on the acclaimed Pro-C 2 with significant new features. The plugin now offers 14 compression styles, character modes for analog-style colouring, and full Dolby Atmos support for immersive audio workflows.

14 Compression Styles

The styles are organized into three categories. Modern includes Clean, Versatile, Smooth, Punch, Upward, and TTM (To The Max). Classic offers Op-El (opto-tube), Vari-Mu, Classic, and Opto. Utility covers Vocal, Mastering, Bus, and Pumping. Six of these are new to Pro-C 3, with the Vari-Mu and Op-El styles being particular standouts for adding warmth and vintage character.

Character Modes

New saturation options let you add analog colour to the compression. Choose between Tube, Diode, and Bright modes with adjustable Drive and routing (pre or post compression). At subtle settings, these add the harmonic richness of hardware compressors. Push harder for more obvious saturation.

Instance List Integration

Pro-C 3 integrates with Pro-Q 4's Instance List, letting you view and control all your Pro-C 3, Pro-DS, and Pro-G instances from within Pro-Q 4. This creates a centralized dynamics management workflow across your entire session — see all your compression decisions in one place.

Immersive Audio

Full Dolby Atmos support handles formats up to 9.1.6, with routing that automatically adapts to your project's channel configuration. Customizable stereo linking ensures proper imaging in surround environments. The enhanced sidechain EQ now offers six bands with mid/side processing.
