The Novation Peak bridges digital precision and analog warmth in a premium 8-voice desktop polysynth. Using NCOs (Numerically Controlled Oscillators) for rock-solid tuning and dual analog filters for organic character, it delivers modern reliability with vintage-inspired tone.

The oscillator section offers three NCOs per voice with classic and wavetable waveforms, FM between oscillators, and ring modulation. The dual multimode analog filters — based on Oxford OTA design — provide that critical analog warmth and response. Each filter offers low-pass, high-pass, and band-pass modes with independent resonance.

The modulation system is deep: three LFOs, three envelopes, and a 16-slot mod matrix connect sources to destinations with scaling options. Built-in effects include chorus, delay, reverb (including a lush shimmer mode), and analog-modeled distortion.

Build quality is exceptional — solid metal chassis, premium encoders, and an interface designed for hands-on sound design. Despite the depth, the panel layout remains intuitive with one-knob-per-function where possible.
