Most sample libraries are organised by folder and filename — a system that made sense when libraries were small. When you have tens of thousands of one-shots across dozens of packs, folder diving becomes the job. XO solves this by ignoring how your samples are stored and instead organising them by how they sound.

The Space view is XO's core feature: a two-dimensional map that plots every sample in your library by sonic similarity. Kicks cluster together, snares cluster together, hi-hats in their own region — but within each cluster, texture and character create further separation. A punchy 808 sits far from a soft jazz kick. A crisp snare sits far from a saturated rimshot. You navigate by ear rather than by filename, clicking through sounds that are sonically adjacent to what you're looking for, or deliberately venturing into adjacent territory to find something unexpected.

Loading your own libraries is straightforward — point XO at any folder or drive and it analyses and maps everything automatically, regardless of how it's organised or named. Duplicates, vague filenames, samples spread across external drives: XO handles all of it.

The built-in sequencer lets you build beats directly inside the plugin. Groove Templates add timing feel to programmed patterns, and the Accentuator applies velocity variation to bring static grids to life. The Nudge function shifts individual hits forward or backward in time for raw urgency or deliberate sluggishness. Everything can be exported as individual audio stems, processed or dry, as MIDI, or as a complete mixed beat — dragged directly into the DAW.

The factory library ships with over 8,000 hand-picked samples across electronic, hip-hop, and contemporary styles. XO Expansions extend the library with additional packs that include not just samples but fully editable sequences built around them.
