The ADAM Audio T7V is the larger of the two core T Series monitors, sitting at the entry point of the ADAM Audio range. It brings the company's ribbon tweeter technology to a budget-friendly price point, making it one of the more distinctive options in its class.
The T7V uses ADAM's U-ART tweeter — a 1.9" Unique Accelerated Ribbon Tweeter based on the same folded diaphragm principle as the X-ART and S-ART tweeters found in the pricier A and S Series monitors. The velocity transform ratio of 4 to 1 means the diaphragm moves air significantly more efficiently than a conventional dome tweeter, contributing to the T7V's extended high-frequency response of 25kHz. The tweeter is paired with the same HPS waveguide dispersion technology used in ADAM's flagship S Series, which provides a wide and consistent sweet spot — useful for anyone who moves around at the desk while working.
The 7" polypropylene woofer is powered by a 50W RMS PWM amplifier, with the tweeter driven by a separate 20W RMS amplifier. Frequency response reaches down to 39Hz (-6dB) via a rear-firing bass reflex port — deep for a monitor at this price. Crossover sits at 2.6kHz. Back panel controls include input sensitivity (-10 to +4dB), gain, and basic high and low shelf EQ adjustments of ±2dB.
The T7V is designed for vertical nearfield use only and has no network connectivity or remote control software. Inputs are XLR and RCA on a sturdy metal backplate.
Who Is This For?
The T7V is aimed at home studio producers, bedroom beatmakers and anyone setting up a first serious monitoring environment on a tighter budget. The ribbon tweeter gives it a character that's noticeably different from comparably priced monitors using conventional dome tweeters — the high-frequency detail is a genuine strength. The wide sweet spot is a practical advantage in smaller rooms where you can't always sit perfectly on-axis.
It's worth being realistic about the limitations: the T7V is an entry-level monitor and the low end can lack the tightness and accuracy of more expensive options. Bass-heavy genres will benefit from adding the T10S subwoofer, which ADAM Audio explicitly pairs with the T7V. Those with a bigger budget should consider stepping up to the A7V, which adds DSP remote control via ethernet, a better woofer cone material, rotatable tweeter and Sonarworks integration.
