Kilohearts Phase Plant

Phase Plant 2 takes a different approach to synthesis. Instead of a fixed architecture, it offers a truly modular environment where generators, effects, and modulators connect in any order you imagine.

Three independent lanes each hold unlimited generators — analog, wavetable, sampler, noise, granular, or FM. Route them through any combination of 33 Snapin effects from the Kilohearts ecosystem. Modulate anything with LFOs, envelopes, MSEGs, audio followers, or random sources.

Modular Without the Complexity

Phase Plant's strength is making modular synthesis accessible. Drag generators into lanes, drop Snapins into the effects chain, and draw modulation connections by clicking and dragging. The visual interface shows signal flow clearly, so you always know what's happening. Lanes can run in serial or parallel, and effects can operate in polyphonic mode for per-voice processing.

Generators

Each lane can hold any combination of generator types:

• Analog — Classic virtual analog oscillators with standard waveforms and unison
• Wavetable — Import or create wavetables with morphing and formant control
• Sample — Load and manipulate audio samples with pitch tracking
• Noise — Filtered noise generators for texture and ambience

The 33 Snapin effects work inside Phase Plant or as standalone plugins in your DAW. They cover distortion, filtering, dynamics, modulation, delay, reverb, and more. Phase Plant ships with 6 free Snapins, and additional effects can be purchased individually or through Kilohearts bundles.
