Arturia PolyBrute

The Arturia PolyBrute is a 6-voice polyphonic analog synthesizer built around a unique morphing engine that lets you seamlessly blend between two complete sound patches. Released in 2020, it combines Arturia's analog expertise with modern digital control to create one of the most expressive and versatile hardware polysynths available.

Sound Architecture

Each voice features two analog VCOs with sawtooth, square, triangle, and sub-oscillator options, plus a noise generator. The dual filter section is a standout — VCF1 is a 12dB/oct Steiner-Parker filter and VCF2 is a 24dB/oct ladder filter, and you can run them in series or parallel for a huge range of tonal possibilities. This combination means you can get everything from warm, creamy pads to aggressive, resonant leads.

Morphing and Expression

The PolyBrute's signature feature is its morphing engine. Each patch contains two independent sound states (A and B), and you can morph between them smoothly using the Morphée 3D pad, ribbon controller, aftertouch, or any other modulation source. The 32-destination modulation matrix adds further depth, letting you route sources to destinations with visual feedback on the front panel. A 64-step polyphonic sequencer and arpeggiator round out the performance tools.

Build and Connectivity

The 61-note keyboard features velocity and channel aftertouch sensitivity with a comfortable action suited for expressive playing. Three onboard digital effects (delay, reverb, chorus/flanger) provide studio-quality processing without external gear. Connectivity includes MIDI, USB, CV/Gate outputs, expression pedal inputs, and audio outputs.
