The Behringer Model D is a faithful recreation of the legendary Minimoog Model D, bringing the iconic sound of the 1970s to a dramatically lower price point. It's a no-frills, pure analog monosynth designed for those who want classic Moog tone without the vintage price tag or modern features.
Three oscillators provide the foundation — triangle, multiple sawtooth slopes, square, and pulse waveforms. The famous 24dB/octave Moog ladder filter delivers the smooth, creamy sweep that defined an era of synthesizer music. No digital components touch the audio path — this is pure analog circuitry.
The compact desktop format fits easily into any setup, and at 70HP it mounts directly into a Eurorack case. Over a dozen CV/Gate patch points integrate with modular systems, expanding possibilities well beyond the front panel's 29 knobs and 19 switches. USB and DIN MIDI provide DAW control and keyboard input, and up to 16 units can be polychained via MIDI for polyphonic play.
There are no presets and no display. This is a deliberate design choice — the Model D is about capturing a specific vintage sound, not modern convenience.
Who Is This For?
